The Sun Inn – El Padron – Estepona

I spent about 8 weeks frequenting this place on a daily basis (August & September 2024). One reason being that it was ideally located for me, but mainly becuase of the delicious, yet reasonably priced food (many would say it was cheap). Well almost a daily basis, as they are closed on a monday, or were at the time of writing.

It is located just outside of Estepona on the road that leads up to Forest Hills. The official address appears to be Cam. de Montesol, 29680 Estepona, Málaga, Spain.

Tapas can be bought for as little as 3 euro, with main meals coming in at about 12 euro. They do various deal nights such as 6 tapas and a jug of San Gria for 20 euro, or 2 for the price of one meal deals. The drinks prices I thought were slightly higher than expected for its loaction (away from the coast). However the cheapness and quality of food easily makes this a place not to miss.

Here is also where I had one of my favourite traditional UK sunday lunches in Spain. They get busy on a sunday so you need to book.

The 3 course menu del dia is also worth checking out, and includes a choice of starter or main, dessert of the day, and house beer or wine. If memory serves me correctly this costs about 12 euro.

The staff were english and were very helpful. The establishment is also dog friendly.
