The Dun Cow located in Bournmoor in County Durham is a well recommended pub stop. A nice large flat car park, large beer garden and good food and beer.
The owner and staff are very nice. They are also very happy for motorhomes to stay the night for free. Subject to spending some money in the pub of course.
Toilets are available when the pub is open. There is a car wash business located in the car park. This is perfect if your motorhome needs a wash. This business is open from 9 til 5, and when open the noise is very minimal. There is little noise from the nearby road through the night.
Easily accessible from the A1 it is ideally situated if you wish to visit Durham or Newcastle. It appears the menu is undergoing a revamp so I will update on the food during my next stay.
Mobile phone signal on both 3 and O2 has been good, including data. Tv signal is also good, without raising the aeriel.
As is fairly standard on a pub stop over, there is no electrick hookup points. So my hookup cable wasn’t needed. The Ecoflow River 2 of course came in handy. As it always does when no hookup is available.
