Plates, Bowls & Cups
Plastic plates, bowls, and cups (motorhome crockery) are highly recommended for use in motorhomes due to several practical reasons:
- Durability and Unbreakability:
- Melamine is a popular choice for motorhome crockery. It’s virtually unbreakable and chip-resistant.
- Accidental drops won’t result in shattered pieces, which is crucial when you’re on the move.
- Unlike regular household crockery, plastic options won’t leave you picking up broken bits.
- Weight Considerations:
- Normal household plates and bowls can be heavy, affecting your motorhome’s payload capacity.
- Plastic crockery weighs significantly less, allowing you to carry other essential accessories without exceeding weight limit1.
- Payload Flexibility:
- When you opt for lightweight plastic crockery, you have more flexibility in distributing your payload.
- You can bring along other tour-enhancing items without worrying about exceeding weight restrictions.
- Easy Maintenance:
- Plastic crockery is easy to clean and maintain.
- Most sets are dishwasher-safe, making post-trip cleanup hassle-free.
Motorhome Crockery.
I have been using this set for over a month now and find it perfect for the job. This set is available on Amazon and includes 6 of each item. If you have Prime it is available for free next day delivery.
The one and only issue I have had, is when I used the white bowl to microwave some baked beans. The white bowl now has orange staining on the inside. This is commom with plastic bowls etc. Now, I just ensure that I always use the same bowl whem microwaving food.
