Camping Platja Cambrils
Camping Platja Cambrils has quickly become one of my favourite campsites. Located 1km from the centre of Cambrils and 3km from Salou, and a mere 50m walk from the beach. I initially booked in here for 1 night on my return to the UK from Marbella. I liked it so much I ended up staying 3 nights.
This is quite a large campsite with plenty of facilities. I was very impressed with the onsite restaurant, which served a good range of food at excellent prices. The swimming pool was quite large but rather cold (October 2024).
The port of Cambils is a mere 1km walk away along the promenade. A good selection of bars, restaurants, shops etc are located close to the port. The sandwich in the photo above was from a small cafe in the port. The razor clams and steak were from the onsite restaurant.
I opted for a large pitch, and there were plenty to choose from. The standard pitches were just a bit too small for a 7m motorhome with a wind out awning. I can’t remember the exact nightly price but it was very reasonable at change out of 30 euro (Oct 2024).
Camping Platja Cambrils is certainly on my list of sites to return to, and will factor into my next 90 day trip to spain. I highly recommend this site, whether you be a solo traveller, a couple or a family.
