The Talbot Inn, Stilton, Cambridgeshire
The Talbot Inn is located in the historic town of Stilton, in Cambridgeshire. I arrived out of the blue after trying a few other local pubs, all of which were closed (Tuesday Night).
The owner advised mt that the car park was fairly full as there was a semi final of boules on that evening. I’m not sure how he did it, but he created a space for my 6m motorhome.
After checking out the menu I went for a double quarter pounder burger, with cheese, bacon and onion rings. Served with a side of chips. I was offered either cheddar or blue cheese on the burger. As I was in stilton it was an easy decision. I was suprised at the price of the burger at change out of £12. Pale ale was £5.85 a pint.
I was travelling from Durham to Dover, so this was a perfect location to stop. A few hours from Durham and only 2.5 to Dover. The car park is fairly flat, so no need for the levelling ramps. As there was no EHU the Ecoflow River 2 did come in handy.
Mobile phone signal on 3, O2 and EE was good in the car park. However I did struggle for a signal in the pub on O2. This was easily solved as they offer free wifi, with the password displayed on the bar.
