I spent 3 nights here the beginning of June 2024 and what a good time I had. The campsites website seriously lets it down, not mentioning what is available etc.
It doesn’t even mention the onsite bar offering a range of beverages at good prices. Food wise its limited to selection of toasties and your standard bar snacks. If i remember correctly the toasties were only £2 each, so a bargain. The beer was good and looking at the signs they do entertainment on occassion.
Speaking of toasties i tried 3 different ones over my stay. Cheese & onion, Corned beef & onion and Cheese & beans. All went down well especially at the price of £2 each. Beer was good as well kicking in at about £5 a pint.
Other facilities are what you would expect, Showers, Toilets, Chemical waste deisposible point etc. The pitches looked level, mine certainly was no need for levelling ramps. Electric hookup is included in the £25 per night fee paid by cash.
Wifi is not available and phone signal is sketchy. I need interent or more precisely mobile data to work. O2 I could barely get a phone signal, let alone data. So tried my ee sim and got a 8mb data connection. Not great but workable for me. Three apparently offer the best option there. I will be pick up a three data sim for my next visit.
This stop isn’t on park4night or others either, I only found it via google. This probably explains why I managed a 3 day weekend booking on a friday afternoon. I believe they stated that they had 9 touring pitches as the majority are seasonal.
Toilet block is ample with several toilets and showers.
